Iconic modern style fruit bowl designed in 1932 by Luc Lanel (1893-1965) for Christofle and used for the first class passengers of the legendary Art Deco ocean cruiser Le Normandie.
PRODUCT INFO
Silver plated circular fruit bowl resting on a circular base, topped by a pedestal consisting of four spheres connected to a disc.
This is the hammered silver plated version which is more valued then the more common non hammered one.
Described with large picture in book Lanel, Luc & Marjolaine, Dominique Forest, Editions Norma, page 12 and 13 as a piece of art that combines Simplicity, Purity and Grace.
