DAUM FRANCE - Chandeliers Verseau - Brutalisme - c.1950
Elegant pair of crystal candlesticks designed by Daum in Nancy around 1950, model Verseau. A refined example of French mid-century crystal design, typical for Daum’s robus mi-century cristal forms, combining Daum’s tradition of craftsmanship with bold, modernist lines. Perfect both as functional candlesticks and as decorative sculptural objects.
PRODUCT INFO
Each piece is finely executed in thick, sculptural crystal and signed Daum France with the Croix de Lorraine. These pieces were crafted in two parts: hand-blown “à la volée”, the arms were fused to the base while still hot, a process that accounts for the subtle variations and then worked with tools.
