CHARLES SCHNEIDER - Coupe Soleil - Vert Absinthe – c.1920 -
An exquisite and uncommon glass coupe crafted by Charles Schneider around 1920. The basin features a powdered absinthe-green glass with edges that were heat-stretched and pinched four times. The stem and foot are applied in a warm orange hue.
Société Anonyme des Verreries (1918-1981). Charles Schneider (1881-1953) was awarded the French Legion of Honour in 1926 and managed with his brother Ernest and sister Ernestine one of the largest art glass factories in France during the Art Deco period.
