VAL SAINT-LAMBERT - Coupe Caluna - 2011 -

SKU: 1128

This "Caluna" coupe was designed in 2011 by Eric Delvaux on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Belgium's greatest architect ever, Victor Horta. This coupe is part of the Air & Lumière Collection which refers to a large order from VSL by Horta in 1905 for the majestic brass and clear crystal chandelier for Hotel Solvay, classified as Unesco World Heritage. Art Nouveau was the first architecture to use steel and glass to bring more space and light into the homes - hence Air & Lumière -. Léon Ledru was the then legendary artistic director of VSL who works with all the great names of Art Nouveau artists including Wolfers, Van De Velde, Serrurier-Bovy and Horta.
