VAL SAINT-LAMBERT - LEON LUDRU - Vase viennois Cortège -
Vase designed by Leon Ludru (1855-1926) at the Cristalleries du Val-Saint-Lambert (Seraing). Pistachio crystal with plum lining, blown and worked with a graving tool. Hand cut decoration at the base, old style frieze at the shoulder engraved in relief with acid and enhanced with gold applied and fixed in a muffle furnace.
Vase designed between 1905 and 1908 at the Cristalleries du Val-Saint-Lambert (Seraing) and mentioned in the 1908 catalogue.
With picture in book “Le génie verrier de l’Europe – de Giuseppe Cappa Editions Mardaga” and in book “100 Jaar Europese Glaskunst – van Art Nouveau tot Art Deco”.
None. Absence of mark means that the vase was for the domestic Belgian market
