Nice, iconic bookends pair of a young half-naked women with “coupe à la garconne” in an Egyptian-style dress seated on a pyramidal pillar reading books and symbolising relaxation, leisure, Délassement. Designed by éditeur d'art and founder Max Le Verrier. Le Verrier described in following books: Statuettes of the Art Deco period - Alberto Shayo and Art deco sculpture - Victor Arwas.
