A rare tea and coffee set with exquisite Art Deco cubist, geometric design and solid white bakelite handles conceived in 1930 by Cazaux for Orfévrerie Cazaux. 5 pieces including the original tray. Very very Deco and Cubisme, really the pure 1920's design and very high quality.

This rare model is of a very high quality execution, reflecting the full Art Deco spirit and the Cubist art design of the time as use of a the progressive technique of bakelite, a plastic that changed the world.
Because of its electrical nonconductivity and heat-resistant properties, bakelite became a great commercial success. It was used in electrical insulators, radio and telephone casings, and such diverse products as kitchenware, jewelry, pipe stems, children's toys, and firearms. The "retro" appeal of old Bakelite products has made them collectible.
